Towerbank School Creative Festival 2025

Join Us for a Day of Art, Creativity, and Community!

Welcome to the Towerbank School Creative Festival! This exciting one-day event, held at Towerbank Primary School in Portobello, Edinburgh, is designed to bring together students, local artists, and creatives of all ages.

Taking place on Saturday, 6th September 2025 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the festival is part of the Portobello Art Walk 2025 and aims to celebrate the rich artistic talent in our community while raising funds for our school.

Our festival’s mission is to promote arts and creativity among students, support local artists, and foster a creative, inclusive atmosphere for families and the wider community.

The Towerbank School Creative Festival is an exciting opportunity for local artists to showcase their work to the community and connect with fellow creatives. We’re committed to illustrating the value of art, its accessibility, and its ability to bring people together.

What’s On:

Makers Market:

A marketplace featuring both indoor and outdoor stalls where local creatives and Towerbank students can showcase and sell their handmade creations.

  • Indoor Stalls: £40 (6ft table provided), £35 (bring your own table)
  • Outdoor Stalls: £30 (shelter provided), £25 (bring your own table and shelter)

🌟 Kids’ Market Stalls
 Pupils are invited to host their own tables to sell handmade creations alongside adult makers.
 ✅ 50% stall fee discount for pupils
 🤝 Table-sharing encouraged
 💡 Open to non-Towerbank children too!

🖼 Art Exhibition
 We’re creating a space to display artwork by both children and adults. Teacher will be providing more inormation about this in the new term, but pupils can work on submissions over the summer; the Art Walk Porty theme this year is “seaside activities and play, past and present”

🎤 Live Performances
 Does your child belong to a dance, music, or drama group? We’d love to showcase their talents at the Festival! 

Creative Taster Sessions:

Tipi Creative Hub: Join us in our cozy Tipi for fun and engaging art workshops for both adults and children. Try your hand at something new, whether it’s painting, sculpting, or another creative endeavor!
