Primary 1 Information

ParentPay

ParentPay is how you can pay for things related to the school. You will be invited by the school and you’ll use your email address to create an account with ParentPay.

This is where you book school lunches.

School Lunches

The school provides hot lunches for children Mon-Thurs and a packed lunch on Fridays.

These are booked on ParentPay and must be booked by Wednesday 10pm for the following week.

If you don’t book by Wednesday 10pm then you should give your child packed lunches the following week. If you don’t book and then forget to send a packed lunch, the school staff will ensure your child has something to eat and let you know to bring a packed lunch the next day.

Snacks

Primary 1 children have 2 breaks – in the morning and afternoon and most children have a snack at each break. The school recommends you bring a healthy snack with no nuts.

If your child comes with no snack the staff will usually give them a piece of fruit but this should not be relied upon.

Class Houses

Towerbank Primary is split into 4 class houses, named after the local parks, each with their own colour. Brighton (red), Figgate (blue), Quarry (green) and Rosefield (yellow). The houses are a way to connect children throughout the school as each class has members of each house.

PE Days

Primary 1 children do PE in their school uniform and the activities tend to be similar to how the children would play at break time so no special clothing is required on those days.

School Uniform

School uniform is available and encouraged but as an inclusive school, there is flexibility with it. You’ll see a variety of different clothes and shoes worn by the kids throughout the year. Full details and how to order here.

School Website

The school website has lots of information including Primary 1 specific info under the ‘Early Years’ menu.
