We are running a pilot of American football skills for Primary age children at Bingham community centre. Starpic is a charity that runs various kids / youth groups in the East side of Edinburgh. Would it be possible to send an email from the School with information and poster attached about the pilot. There is no charge for this activity as it’s volunteers and the charity has supplied all the equipment.

“American football skills a chance to have fun learning the basics of throwing, catching, running and kicking the football 🏈 this is outdoor on grass please bring appropriate footwear.

We use junior size footballs for small hands and do training drills to develop skills.

The idea of this pilot is to give kids something different with a plan to move on to flag football not full contact at this stage”.

It’s Summer Fair time at Towerbank!

7th June, 2-4pm (quiet opening from 1.30pm), The Parent Group invites one and all to support our community by coming along to the Summer Fair.

We’ve got the usual Fair activities of face-painting, home-baking / refreshment, games, tombola, and pre-loved uniform sale and we’ve got some exciting new (and returning activities) as well. We are delighted to welcome the Towerbank Samba Band who will be performing 2-2.30pm and we are also hosting a blanket sale for those who want to have a clear out and make some Summer spending money in the process.

Individual upil photos will take place in May 2025 with prints delivered to the school before the end of term. Nursery children welcome. Class photos will be taken separately.

How to Book

It’s a 2 step booking process:

1. Please book your timeslot from available options here.
   Please book your time slot in the lead child’s name. We allow approx 2.5 mins per child so please book up to 2 children per 5 minute slot. EG if booking for 3 children, please book 2 slots. We may move single child bookings by 5-10 mins to group together 2 kids into a single 5 minute slot.
2. Please register on Corinne’s website here. Access code is TOWERBANK2025. Please add details of all children.

Purchasing Photos

You’ll get an email to let you know when you can view the photos on Corinne’s website and will be able to purchase digital images or physical prints. Prints will be delivered to the school before the end of term.

All sessions take place at our Forrester / St Augustine’s Community Sports Hub and range from age 3 to S1. 

Friday Football

Friday Football is a fun, developmental football programme for boys and girls aged P1-S1. The sessions focus on developing confidence and enhancing competence on the ball through dribbling, passing, scoring and control. Sessions are outdoor on 3G astroturf so please bring footwear and clothing suitable for being outdoors.

Mini Kickers

Mini Kickers is our fun, developmental introductory programme, which focuses on building motor skills and physical literacy through the enjoyment of football. These sessions are indoor.
